Dedicated Personal Injury Lawyer Jack M. Shapiro
After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Jack M. Shapiro moved to Chicago, Illinois and began his legal career as a volunteer attorney for CARPLS legal aid, providing legal advice to Chicago residents on issues of consumer debt, landlord/tenant, and family law. He also volunteered at the legal-aid help desk located inside Daley Center Courtroom 1401, advising pro se defendants on their rights and obligations under the law. After moving to Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Attorney Shapiro worked for several years at an insurance defense firm in the northwest suburbs. He represented insurance companies and their insureds in various areas of law, including personal injury defense, breach of contract, landlord/tenant, construction defect and appellate work
After years of defending insurance companies against personal injury lawsuits and seeing first-hand the plight of the injured when facing big business, Attorney Shapiro shifted his work to represent injured persons in personal injury claims and lawsuits. His experience on the other side gives him invaluable insight into how insurance companies evaluate and defend personal injury lawsuits. His belief that victims deserve compensation drove a shift in his career. He decided to use his experience for the benefit of the injured. After years of work focused on personal injury, Attorney Shapiro formed the Law Office of Jack M. Shapiro, P.C., where he focuses his practice exclusively in the area of personal injury, working hard to make sure that his clients receive the maximum benefits they are entitled to under the law.
Outside of work, Attorney Shapiro is a volunteer Commissioner with the Village of Buffalo Grove Committee For Residents With Disabilities, where he enjoys creating programs geared towards inclusion and fun for children and adults with disabilities. When he is not working, Attorney Shapiro enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and two dogs.
